MIGRATION MADE EASY
The RightFax 8.7 Migration-Upgrade Package is designed to quickly and effectively migrate customers from legacy RightFax 8.7 systems to the latest versionof RightFax 9.3 with new hardware. Services can be performed either remotely or onsite, and generally can be completed within two business days. Actual duration may vary based on amount of data and image files to be migrated.
Supported RightFax configurations for the migrated (new) system, include:
- Single RightFax Business Server or Enterprise Server
- Locally installed fax cards or SR140. (Exucom Implementation Services does not configure necessary IP Telephony infrastructure components whatsoever).
- Setup and configuration of SQL Express 2005 for RightFax, or connection to an existing SQL 2000/2005 server
- Migration of the following from the existing 8.7 system:
- Registries
- Files
- Faxes
- Signatures
- Forms
- Coversheets
- Command data files
- Library docs
- Dialing rules
- Database

A PROVEN METHODOLOGY
Exucom uses a field tested methodology to guide customers through a successful implementation and migration.
The process begins with a comprehensive pre-installation check-list that guides customers through all of the essential steps to smoothly deploy a solid RightFax solution to their end users, and to seamlessly migrate all existing data and configurations from the legacy 8.7 system to a newly built 9.3 system. Review existing RightFax environment, setup and configurations
• Hardware and software pre-requisites
• Base system staged by customer prior to new RightFax installation
• Customer resources to have on-hand during deployment
• Common configurations
• Network and Telco dependencies
• Review migration strategy with customers, and finalize transition plan
Prior to implementation a pre-installation meeting occurs between the Exucom Implementation Services Engineer and the resources at the customer site supporing the implementation. All facets of the pre-installation and migration check-list are reviewed, and a migration plan for the deployment is distributed to the team.
During implementation the Exucom Implementation Services Engineer initiates one or more conference bridge and WebEx sessions, reviews the status of all system dependencies with the customers, jointly implement dry-runs as needed, and begins the implementation. Customers are invited to follow along with the final implementation process and participate in reviewing all migration option. At the end of the deployment, the implementation activities are reviewed with the customer and simple tests are jointly run to demonstrate end-to-end functionality.
FEES AND EXPENSES
The RightFax 8.7 Migration-Upgrade Package is a fixed-cost engagement. Add-on services can be purchased as a-la-carte items (see below). For services that are performed remotely, no travel expenses will be incurred. After finalizing migration requirements with customer, Captaris will recommend either onsite or remote migration as the preferred option. After-hours Fee for work required outside of core business hours will be applied
